Clarence Edward Chambers

Clarence "CC" Edward Chambers, 65, of Vienna, WV passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his daughters, oldest granddaughter and his cousin Jackie Prim, after a courageous battle with Cancer on May 22, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Daisy (Byrd) Chambers and Brooks David Chambers; his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog "Harry". Clarence was a 1972 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He retired from Elkem Metals/Eramet of Marietta, OH on June 1, 2005, after 32 years of service. Music was his passion; he was a talented musician. He played bass and lead guitar, wrote his own music and he sang. He loved to entertain. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and four-wheeler. He restored old cars, was a gifted carpenter and he loved his family and friends. He was a man of few words and a large heart. He will be deeply missed. He leaves behind to mourn his loss; daughters, Wendy Barber (Michael) of Belpre, OH, Brooke Chambers (Gary Harrison) of Vienna, WV; sisters, Clara McGary and Janet Enoch (Buck Bennett) both of Parkersburg, WV; and brother, David Chambers, Sr. (Sharon) of Mineral Wells, WV. Also surviving; grandchildren, Hannah DeLancey (David Hastings, Jr.) of Williamstown, WV, Sophia and Jude Chambers, both of Vienna, WV, Alyson Barber and Rawlin Barber and a host of many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Strecker Cancer Centers in Belpre and Marietta for the wonderful care that they gave our Dad during his treatments. The doctors, nurses and all the staff were truly amazing. A special thank you to the nurses on the second floor of Marietta Memorial Hospital; you were all so loving and caring during his final days. Also, a special thank you to Matthew Arlis Chambers at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home in Huntington, WV for taking special care of Dad after his passing and with the Celebration of Life planning. A Celebration of his life will be held on June 24, 2017 at Shoreline Campground 2562 Beach Drive, Belpre, OH 45714 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. with refreshments and music provided.
