Mrs. Debra Anne Bentler

Debra Anne Bentler, 59 Years, 3 Months and 23 Days, of Danville, WV departed this life at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 23, 2022 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV after a short illness. She was born on October 1, 1962 in Newton, NJ to parents Irving (Herb) Gunderman Hendershot and Lois May Degroat Vanculin. She went to High Point Regional High School in Sussex, NJ. Debra enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting and crafting. She also loved her family and grandchildren very much. There to welcome her home along with her parents; two very special people who raised her, Timothy Edward and Grace Elizabeth Howey; her sister, Cindy Dorshimer; a very special cousin who she loved dearly, Earl (Abby) Gould; and her very special aunt who she was caring for and loved dearly, Betty Linda Crowell. Also, waiting for her were her 3 special grandbabies that no one was able to meet but she longed to hold them. Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 39 years, Thomas Richard Bentler, Sr. of Danville; children, Thomas Richard Bentler, Jr., LaWanda Bentler of Ottawa, James Robert Bentler of Danville, Shannon and Jody (Will) Davis of Madison, Jamie Schultz and Leann Lozaw of PA, which she helped raise from 11 years old and encouraged him through school. Grandchildren which was her whole entire world and heart; Destiny Anne Bentler of Ottawa, Chloe Dawn and Abbigail Faithanne Davis of Madison; sisters, Loretta Sue (Walter Henry “Bucky”) Gunser, III of Danville, Betty Jean Byrd (Scott) of Missouri - they called each other their sisters’ keeper because they went through everything together; brothers, Herbert Edward Hendershot, Sr. (Jane) from Wantage, NJ, Mark Vanculin (Chrissy) of Arkansas, Albert Donald Crowell, Jr. of Port Jervis, NY and her step-mom, Carol Hendershot of Danville. Also, surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends, which she loved all very much. At this time, there will not any services held with Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. A Memorial Service is planned at a future date at Jarrell Valley Church in Madison, WV with Pastor Rusty Newsome, officiating.
