Mary Elizabeth Caul

Mary Elizabeth Caul transitioned from this world to her heavenly reward on February 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished. Mary was born on November 14, 1930, in Maysville, Kentucky, to the late Ione and Dora Berry. She was the beloved middle sibling, sharing a close bond with her siblings, Ione and Frances. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Earskel Caul, Sr., her brother Ione "June" Berry, and her daughters, Amelia Caul, and Christalee Caul-Dowell. In the early 1940s, Mary relocated to Huntington, West Virginia, where she embraced various domestic roles. Her dedication and hard work were evident during her tenure at C&O Hospital, and she later retired from the United States Postal System in 1994. Mary's unwavering faith served as her compass, guiding her through life's journey. A cherished member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, she poured her heart into its community. Mary's dedication knew no bounds; as trustee chairlady, she spearheaded the church's most significant renovation effort. Whether singing in the choir, lending a hand in the kitchen, or offering support to those in need, her acts of service spoke volumes about her love and compassion for others. Mary was a beloved figure in the lives of many, fulfilling various roles as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, supportive sister, cherished aunt, caring cousin, loyal friend, beloved granny, and adored GG. Her kind-hearted demeanor and comforting presence left a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Mary is survived by her loving family, her sister: Frances and children Barbara Saunders, Earskel (Adriane) Caul, Jr., Mary Caul, and Michael (Mary) Caul, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Their memories of Mary will serve as a testament to the impact she had on their lives. As we bid farewell to Mary Elizabeth Caul, let us celebrate a life well-lived and find solace in the lasting impressions of love she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace. A Home-Going service will be conducted 12:00 P.M, Friday, March 8, 2024 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 915 8th Ave. Huntington, WV with Rev. Dr. Franklin Murphy, Sr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
