Elton Elwin Sherman Jr. Of Huntington, WV, passed-away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the age of Seventy-Nine years, Six months, and Twelve days. He was born on November 23, 1942, to the late Elton Elwin Sherman Sr. and Hazel Collins Sherman, he is also preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Arnold. He was originally from Warwick, Rhode Island, he also lived in Pawtucket and Central Falls Rhode Island most of his life before moving to West Virginia with his wife in 2006. He was a martial arts instructor for over 50 years and held black belts and above in several martial arts styles. He primarily instructed Traditional Combat Judo. He was a Marine Veteran serving from 1960-1966 and had two enlistments. He was a Bronze Star Recipient. He is survived by his wife of Twenty-Six years, Tarri Elaine Bryson; four children, Lisa Prince of Florida, Sandra Achille of Rhode Island, Jason Sherman of Rhode Island, and Linda Beth Epstein of Louisiana; two stepchildren, Tarelin Caspers of Illinois and Kyle Braga of West Virginia; adopted son, Linc Martin;brother in law, Kurt Bryson; several half siblings, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many people who’s lives he has influenced and considered to be family.
