Ester "Poochie" Shirrell Ward, 68 of Huntington passed away December 1, 2011 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 1pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, with Rev. ReLoy Gainey officiating. Ester was born March 8, 1943 in Huntington, WV a daughter to the late William Lawson and Elizabeth Olga Ward. Ester was a member of Young Chapel A.M.E Church in Huntington. Survivors include one daughter Sharron Hegmon, Huntignton, three grandchildren Qwlonda Byrd, Robert Byrd, Terrance Byrd, seven great-grandchildren, one aunt Emmajean Garrett Conada, and several other family members and friends. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
