Paul D. Shelton, 73, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, died January 26, 2013 at Wellston Community Hospice House. He was born February 28, 1939 to the late Viree Patterson Shelton and Solomon Shelton in Williamson, West Virginia. He attended public school in Cincinnati, OH and later moved to Huntington where he met Mary Ziegler. Paul worked for the city of Huntington for many years before he retired. He was preceded in death by Mary Ziegler and one step-son Gregory Ziegler. He leaves to mourn ten step-children, six stepsons; Anthony Ziegler, Michael Ziegler, Mark Ziegler and Edward Ziegler all of Huntington; George Ziegler, of Columbus Ohio; and Stephen Ziegler of Kansas City. Four step-daughters; Patricia (David) Austin, Janett Ziegler, April Ziegler, of Huntington and Kathy Harris of Columbus, OH. 49 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren, a special granddaughter and a special friend. Latonya Ziegler and Mike Craig. In addition he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be conducted at noon Friday February 1st at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home.
